Strong mind, strong health: 10 Powerful questions for growth

By Andrea Burke, BIOMILK Skincare Healthy Mind Expert

Often we start the year off with the best of intentions, but then things happen and we quickly get distracted with the rest of life. Then we blink and more than half of the year is over. BLINK! Just like that you are scratching your head and asking how time possibly got away from you? It happens to all of us.

It can be really frustrating when we do not make progress against our own goals for the year. This is exactly why I do a check in with myself every so often. It is never too late to take a few steps in the direction you want to go. I have also found it really helpful to think outside of the traditional goals like losing weight, reading, or being more present with family. Personally, I spend time reflecting on my overall energy and well-being as one of my main measures of success.

Here are 10 really powerful questions you can ask yourself and evaluate how you want the rest of the year to go.

1) What are you most proud of this year? What about YOU helped make that happen?

2) How are you going to celebrate your success?

3) What did you say you wanted to accomplish but you haven’t made progress? What, if any, excuses got in your way?

4) What is one small step you can take to get back on track?

5) What are you tolerating in your life? What is that costing you?

6) What do you want to do about it?

7) What in your life energizes you? How can you add more of that into your life?

8) What in your life drains you? How can you reduce this?

9) What excites you about your future?

10) How are you going to ensure you make progress towards your goals?

I encourage you to tackle one question at a time, reflect on it, and take positive action. Growth can be in any shape or form that feels good to you. Whether you work on being healthier physically or mentally, you will be in a better place tomorrow than you were yesterday with just one small step.
